Rinpoche
60x60
Stones on canvas
Mucuró works especially with texture, and the protagonist in this painting on stone slabs, give form to the smiling face of our Teacher, Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. In this work the colors of Thiglé are part of the composition.  One can see four small Tibetan A letters drawn, a wonderful detail reminiscent of Ati Guruyoga. The texture of the stones shows the dimension of the body of the piece itself. The chiaroscuro that emerges from the interplay of light and shadows in this work by Mucuró, give depth to the composition. Every element is represented by its color in the tradition of the Dzogchen philosophy according to type: water, fire, air, earth, and space.

Woods on canvas
This piece works with the concept of energy made in visual form. The shape is rectangular, defined, vertical, and fully red. The details of movement are expressed through elongated thin slivers of wood. This theme captures an evocative spear of rising power, and transmits the style of the artist, who is a specialist in artistic texture.

Rinpoche with the snail
60x60
Stones on canvas
Mucuró works with the noble elements of nature including stones, woods, and many others. In this stunning picture frame made of stone slabs, we can see our honorable Teacher Chogyal Namkai Norbu. The colors chosen by the artist are the same prime colors of the Gakyil as symbolic elements: yellow, blue, and red. The figure of our dear Rinpoche holds a snail in his right hand, one of the eight auspicius symbols. The eight symbols of good fortune represent the offerings made by the gods to Shakyamuni Buddha immediately after he attained enlightenment. The snail represents the beautiful, deep, melodious, interpenetrating and pervasive sound of the dharma, which awakens disciples from the deep slumber of ignorance and urges them to accomplish their own attainment for their own welfare and that of others.

Green Tara
60x60
Acrylic on canvas
The wonderful Dakini Green Tara, painted especially for our auction.

This unique Green Tara, adorned by her gorgeous jewelry, gazes compassionately from her semi lotus posture with a blue flower delicately gripped by her left hand.  She is accompanied by a hummingbird on the right and the Caribbean landscape behind: Juan Griego Lake, located in the north of the Margarita Island, Venezuela. As decoration, her aura has tropical flowers also called hibiscus or cayenne flowers. Her lips are red, a reminiscent detail of Caribbean influence, an aspect that stands out in the work of Adriana's painted Dakinis.  This piece is beautifully painted in soft colors, the theme and aesthetic are a delight of sweet harmonies.

Mandala Accelerated Time
30x30
Acrylic on canvas
From the "Mandalas" series Adriana allows us to experience a sense of unusual time with this piece through the orange and blue colors between lines and small circles, as if setting the pace with her brush in fine details, one gets the sense of the accelerating pulse of passing time.  The mandala is a sacred geometry, a representation of the cosmos as a whole. Especially in this version of our artist's work, movement is the protagonist as if calling its viewer to travel back in time through this vision.  Have a good trip, dear friends!

White Tara
27x27
Acrylic on canvas
White Tara is the female buddha of long life and here, Adriana represented her marvelous detail from the waist up. On her head she wears a tiara and is adorned by beautiful jewelry: a long and a short necklace, as well as various gold and jeweled ornaments. Her left hand holds near her heart the stem of a uptala flower, which is blossoming near her left ear. Often, one can recognize White Tara by her iconic "seven eyes." In Adriana's creative interpretation of this version, her vision is represented by four visible eyes: three on her face (including the one on her forehead) and one eye on each palm of her hands and feet. It is said that White Tara's seven eyes enable her to clearly "see" all beings in all the realms of existence. Her expression is one of utmost compassion.

No-Title
80x60
Acrylic on canvas
This painting won an Honorable Mention in Artucs Art Contest (Porlamar, Margarita Island, Venezuela, June 2015) for its mastery of color and composition.  Short curves and other finely defined geometric figures in each fragment intertwine with the brightness and vibrational frequency of vivid color. This aesthetic is reminiscent of the XX century primitive arts combined with psicodelic art. One can see overlapping shapes and colors splaying the canvas. Not only does this type of work require hours of delicate work, the details are meticulously cared for to evoke a deep sensitivity for "the little things."  Nothing is rejected, one is called to experience the integrative experience of color itself.
